Tyron Bands Again..!!

I recently completed a CC Manouvering Course and the group had quite a long discussion about Tyron bands. The course leader said they were good in certain circumstances but not really necessary on new vans as new wheels no longer have the big dip between rims (if you see what I mean). I would be really interested in others views on this.

Roz, As far as I can see there is very little evidence against Tyrons but an awful lot for them!. Like you I have done both CC and C&CC courses and general view in discussion with Instructers and fellow caravaners is, why not......... if any device can help you in a potentialy difficult situation then fit them, most dealers will also conceed to fitting them FOC when purchasing a new caravan. So my feeling is "Better safe than sorry", No good looking at your caravan on its side wishing you should have fitted them!. Regards Graham
