In the shadow of Brough Castle just off the A66 is a farm making its own ice cream and has a very nice ice cream parlour. When you arrive, you are given a loyalty card. Does that help Prof?

You all missed out the best one of them all: St Fagan's, near Cardiff.
Must admit, though that Parksy's BCLM comes a very close second.

Ice cream prof, well that should get a good dust up going..... Good Intent Dartmouth if you want clotted cream topping your ice cream. For real homemade deliciousness then there's an excellent one in Sidmouth. We make our own now having seen a documentary on ice cream and are very dubious about having it out. Best value for money homemade is Carlos in the New Forest. For East Yorks Mr Moos is nice but has gone very very expensive whereas less selection and better value down the road at Honeysuckle farm.

I will not let it be said we have too much ice cream in our family....... :cheer:

.....it is an earth flushing toilet designed to beat cholera in poor households without a water supply back in Victorian times.

We also travelled from Pickering to Whitby and return on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.....a living museum.

Whilst in Whitby we visited the Captain Cook Memorial Museum to see where his ships were built and where he learnt his early seamanship.
