Unknown light

Hi. Have just bought my first caravan after years of camping. It's an old, 1991, elddis vogue 11. Not in the kind of condition I had hoped for when I started looking. It appears to me that a few problems were hidden from me when i viewed, but it's all I could afford for now and it's a start. Have had to rip the back corner apart inside as I found out it was falling to pieces after getting soaked, and still leaking. Have found where the water was coming in. Fixed that problem and nearly finished rebuilding the inside. Just one thing that's got me stumped. There was a small, red light in this corner with a 12v sticker on it. Anyone tell me what this is for?

Hi Southernreb, and welcome.

As it looks the same colour as the taps, and the taps are likely microswitch type. Perhaps it is an indicator to warn that the pump is running.

Just a guess.

I've got a 1993 abbey gts that doesn't have micro switch taps but still has warning lamps when the pump is running ,I agree with jcloughy ..probably a warning lamp..Gary

I've put some info on removing awning rails and resealing them on this forum..under the vintage section with images ..Gary
