Unusual Sight ? Or Not ?

Driving home from work yesterday and looked twice at....

A Rolls Royce with two cycles on the fitted bike rack

Made me giggle ๐Ÿ™‚

Any one else seen anything they think is unusual????

Another one I saw last weekend whilst away,

Two transit vans and a car turned up to pitch tents.
Three families with about a dozen nippers.
From the back of one transit came the three seater ratten style seating complete with big fluffy cushions. With a gazebo to keep it dry.
out of the other came a full size fridge, and full mattress's,
lovely people, never saw the grandson they involved all the kids in rounders and football etc.

One I saw was on a site (You can tell it was a year or two back) as the owner of a Rover 2000 proceeded to lay a sheet on the ground at the side of his van opened the car boot and took out a virtual complete spare engine and spent all day and alot of the holiday, (when family went out) rebuilding it!

Saw a lady today in a huge 4x4, drive past a very tight parking space, and then reverse into it in one go with utmost precision.

Nah, just kidding. ๐Ÿ˜‰

And the problem is ?

I had to see it to believe it when i watched it being put up ..... I saw it in the awning rail and strait away i saw a problem ..... but hey ho ! ..... it won't collect water :woohoo: :woohoo:

Looks nice and taught..... well set up given the size.... I reckon the owner has done a good job in making the most of the equipment he has.

It looks as though it will be nice and dry and provide loads of extra space, without the owner having to spend lots of cash on having it recut, getting a new one or a larger van or smaller awning!
More power to his elbow!
Regards
to all and Happy Caravanning

..........well it is like this ๐Ÿ˜‰

The guy has gone to a campsite whose owner has laid out lovely pitches with hard standing but didn't know you are supposed to make hard standings level. This one slopes downhill front to back ๐Ÿ˜ฑhmy:

The poor guy has found that he has had put the front of the caravan on the ground to get it level making the awning appear at an odd angle.

orrr!!! .......... the guy is rubbish at levelling his caravan front to back ๐Ÿ˜‰

Looking more closely Kev's got it right .The roof and awning cord is too big / long for the caravan .But it is doing the job and looks correctly tensioned.

Shows how much I know about awnings..........Zilch!

I thought the awning in Sprockets picture was like that because the tow hitch was resting on the ground with the rear of the caravan raised (see jockey wheel)
Now Gagakev and Dusty have pointed it out I can see the awning is too big for the caravan....I think

It was a good meter and a half too long, the rear of it is the same, but give them due the did centralize it to get it even at both ends ๐Ÿ˜‰

Whilst sat here looking at the rain coming down..... have just seen someone pick up there mat from the front of there steps .....
It was green ....
It was a piece of artificial grass

Well done that caravanner. Clearly caravanning on a budget, hopefully giving the kids a holiday, they couldn't otherwise afford. Think most of the country has forgotten how to make do. The awning is up, doing its job. OK it is too big, but what does it matter. Respect.

Well said Mel
I agree, what does it matter.... and should folks be bothered...?
Certainly not
as long as they are enjoying their van and their awning...
after all, its not about having the latest, newest, most expensive bits of kit.... but more about:
Happy Caravanning!
Regards to all
