Update to What Tow Car web-site

Hi,

I think you all know the "WhatTowCar" web-site, well Bert Wijnen has this morning made a significant improvement to that web-site.

It's now possible to enter a typical weight for a caravan - say 900 kg for an Eriba Triton with some luggage and stuff inside - and then search for a car that will pull it. You can refine your selection in many ways, fuel type, gearbox, price, etc. and even use the current What Tow Car star rating to select minimum performance.

Yeah, I'd just finished doing a small bit of the "Dutchglish to English" translation on the site, and Bert said that the page was now live.

I put in the details of my car (excluding manufacturer) and caravan and started the search. I was a little surprised when it returned only one item. A 4.8 litre BMW 550. Slightly more powerful than my currnt car and probably a bit of overkill on the power front.
