I would like to fit one preferabl;y to the underside of the van, has anyone done this, know how to, know someone that does??

any advice on other bits i might need etc would be much appreciated.

Hi Mark,

You would be far better fitting a tank that will fit under one of the front seats rather than slinging it underneath for obvious reasons, But I cant see why you would want to go to all that trouble ?? You wouldn't have anyway of monitoring the level other than visually checking the amount remaining . We had a Bessacarr with an internal front tank and it was useful but I don't miss not having it. No matter which way you look at it you still have to get the water into it by lugging it across the site it just meand that instead of filling your water roll every day you have to fill the water roll and the tank once every two days....same amount of work for no gain.

Oh I don't know ..... We always stop at the motorhome point and fill our onboard tank as we arrive. That's 2 aquarolls saved then :)

Fully serviced pitches are definitely the way to go. Not that I'm idle you understand ;)

I too am not over impressed with tanks under the floor, can be difficult to clean and sometimes the pumps are difficult to prime. What i do have, though, is a 20litre plastic jerry can under (in our case) the bed and close to the axle. This has a whale submersible pump feeding to a Tee piece in the cold water line before this goes to the water heater. Whale sell the socket part as well and all you need to do with this is mount it and parallel connect the 12v at the original socket through the van wall.

20 litres is plenty for overnight and is particularly useful when travelling down to Spain in the winter, as it avoids the trouble of getting out the aquaroll, and also the risk of freezing up. CAK Tanks have all the necessary fittings, 'tank' hoses etc.
