URGENT!!! Wheres the toilet water filler

Greetings,

Just got a phone call from a friend who has just bought a Bailey Moselle of 1997 vintage.

He cannot find the filler spout for the water and pink for the toilet.(AND HE IS ON SITE, WANTING TO USE IT!!!)

I directed him to the outside where the cassette is but above it there is no filler.

Does anyone out there know?

Del,

I think you will find that on that model the water for the toilet flush comes direct from the Aquaroll. I.E. there is no flushing header tank.

When you press the button on the toilet it opens a solanoid valve and the vans water pump switches on as if you had opened a tap.

Greetings Again,

Cancel the Alarm.

Apparently this caravan doesn't have a reservoir for the water for the flush.

It all comes from the outside water tank/aquaroll.

Friend now directed to get spray bottle to use his pink after toilet use

James,

Thanks for that. You are right. I didn't accur to me that Bailey would have used such a system.

Del,

Just a thought, tell your friend that if he finds that the toilet bowl keeps filling up with water then it means the solanoid valve is leaking! Dont accuse the Mrs. of not emptying the bowl like I did.

Had this system on an old Moselle years ago and it happened to me. Also you cant flush on route!

Fortunately this method has now disappeared( until some accountant realises it can make the toilet cheaper!)

Regards

Jim

Greetings Again,

Many many thanks to those (above) who responded to my request.

After finding a similar model for sale on 'Caravanselecta' I rang the Company concerned and they were able to inform me that this caravan does not have a fitted reservoir, but runs off the aquaroll or similar.

I'm interested to know James why you consider 'Pink' to be a waste of money?

I don't use it personally having opted for Fenwicks 'Top and Tail' and, with the knowledge that in this case it has in fact been a waste of money because my mate doesn't have a tank to put it in, but surely, as a product that deodourises it can't be a 'waste of money'

In these circs I have suggested that he uses the solution sprayed on with a used cleaner bottle. I don't think he will suffer from the dreaded black bits syndrome.

Del,

The reason was the 'algae syndrome' Jim
