US103 water heater query

Good morning all – can you help? A reader has posted a query to our Twitter page and it reads as follows:

"US103 water heater is fine on gas, but nothing on elec. Fuses are fine. Any recommendations or known issues?"

Almost certainly failed element. These are replaceable.

Do you think this is something I could fit myself, or would you suggest a trained engineer fitted?

You could change it yourself IF you are familiar with mains electrics and how to do it.
I would suggest however that as you have asked if you could do it that you do not know enough about the Ultrastore heater.
The element is fiddly to access and it is very easy to drop the small nuts which hold the element and temp sensor in place so would advise getting a mobile engineer to do it for you.
