hi all.
I had to move the van yesterday to my daughters in order to clear the garage so the moble mechanic could get the car in for a new cambelt and service and noticed the brakes on the van were dragging a little the offside wheel was warm after about 3miles and hot by the time I got there 6miles,
thinking one side could be stiff due to being stood all winter had a quick look everything seem fine and loose on the linkages but the offside wheel is stiff when turned tapping with a small hammer made no difference.
I did try to do a little adjusting while there the nearside is fine two clicks from tight and the wheel turns free. the offside however needs 8 clicks before it revolves without dragging and then does not hold with the handbrake on.
There does seem something wrong somewhere any idea's anyone ??.
as a bit of background the van was parked in garage all winter with the hand brake off and was serviced before we went away last may but seemed fine last time out.
