I have a Vauuxhall Zafira andf a Bailey Olympus which has led running lights built into the grab handels.
Both are very good but my one problem has been that sometimes the grab handle lights flashing when towing, which confuses following motorists thinking I am indicating a right turn!
I have discovered that the cause is a small pulse of electricity is supplied from the car's computer to the road lights circuit ( to detect if the caravan is coupled ??).
After much head scratching I have discovered that this pulse (which can be seen on an anolouge voltmeter, but is missed by a digital voltmeter ) will cause the led lights to flash when there is moisture around. So on a dry day when the led's were not flashing I sprayed various parts with water. The only way I could get the led's to flash was to get water inside the caravan 13 pin plug from the rear, there was a small gap between the cable and the plug's boot.
I have filled the rear of the caravan plug with Valasine anmd sealed the cable entery with tape. NO MORE FLASHING of the grab handles! I hope
