Any views on a Vauxhall vectra 3.0 TDi Estate as a tow car. In Elite form the Kerb wt is about 1640 Kg which would give me about 88% for my Swift Challenger which is OK. Does anyone tow with this car (auto or manual)- I am considering it as a replacement for my Omega Est 2.2TDi
 
If your Vectra 3.0TDI is an automatic, you'd be well over the limit with the maximum permissible towload. The automatic has only 1200kg max towload, which unfortunately discounts it as a very good towcar. At 1800kg, the manual has a bigger margin and is really good.
