Ventura Cadet Awning

G'day, I am thinking of buying a second hand awning and I know from experience they come in different heights, my last one was too short for my new van. The brochure says 230-250cms.

The seller says no info on his awning except size A.

My question to this font of knowledge is, does anyone know what height size A is.

The Cadet is a "porch" awning so does not have an "A" dimension.

As the brochure you quote says its for an awning rail positioned between 230 to 250 cm vertically from the ground. It would be surprising unless you have an older "boat shaped" roof caravan if yours does not fall between those figures.

What you ned to know is where the verticals fall against your van's side to ensure one is not across a window as if so it will in time fret the window surface.

The A measurement is the length of the awning rail plus the distance to the ground at each end of the rail. Its for full awnings, whereas the Ventura Cadet is a porch awning 2.4 metres wide. The thing to consider,is where the awning fits in relation to the door and if it goes directly over a window as JTQ mentions.

Hope this helps,cheers Richard
