Very slow page loading

Recently I have notice pages very slow to load, particulalry when clicking on from one to another -e.g. between pages of a thread.
I use Chrome browser.

I notice in the bottom left hand corner of the screen a short messaage e.g. 'wating for haymarket.com' but now, incrasingly see 'Waiting for cdn.code.haymarket.com'. The cdn letters sometimes appear on other websites and the pages are equally slow to load.
I understand cdn may stand for Content Delivery Network which appears to be a system where the host server - i.e. Haymarket - 'delegates' delivery of the content to a third party - presumably in the interest of reducing the load on thier own server. However, the frustration of the slow loads will soon become counter-productive in that we will just not be prepared to put up with down load speed even worse than dial-up.
Could anyone give a more accurate information and suggest any settings etc. which may avoid going this route.

Also could the haymarket techies be asked to explain why this change has been made and why it has such poor speeds.

Hi Ray
It's true that the download speed can vary from time to time and the CDN now operates via a cloud server rather than one owned or run by Haymarket, as do many modern internet websites.
To be honest, the speed today seems ok to me, I'm on Virgin Media which uses cable.
Unfortunately the 'Haymarket Techies' are not available to us, I can no longer communicate with them to find answers to questions that are raised from time to time so we have to make the best of what we have by ourselves.
You could try using a registry cleaner and junk file remover such as the free version of iObit Advanced System Care to de-clutter your computer registry and remove junk files and you could also clear your cache and browsing history which might help. The download times depend largely on the ISP (internet service provider) download and upload times so if your computer is slow you should contact them to find out if there is a problem with their server.

I'm using Internet Explorer 8 on a Win XP machine for this reply, and the speed from page to page in a thread is just fine.
That's despite having a relatively slow ADSL broadband connection in my particular geographic location. (1.5Mbps if I'm lucky!)
Try running Chrome without extensions/plugins and see if this helps. Trying a different browser, (Internet Explorer, Firefox etc.,) might also provide a clue as to the way forward.
