Visiting the Lakes

Hi folks,

We are looking for a long weekend caravan holiday in the Lakes on a site with grass pitches, somewhere close to either Windermere or Keswick. We have just joined the caravan club aswell but cant see any obvious sites in there that we fancy.

Can anyone suggest a site which has good facilities in this area we mention and has grass pitches ?

Keswick caravan and camping club site is great. By the lake and in the centre of Keswick near to everything you could want. I believe it has some grass pitches and is open to non members, though there is an extra charge for non members. It's worth noting though that July, August and Bank Holidays you have to book a minimum of 5 nights and at other times a minimum of 3 nights.

Next door to that and part of the Derwentwater caravan and camping club site is Walker Park. I think this has grass pitches but no electric hook up. Not sure if the same booking rules apply there
