Volkswagon Bora 1.8TDI

My neighbour has now been convinced the beauty of caravan holidays and has a Bora 1.8TDI 6 speed manual (52 reg.) Has anybody experience of towing with this model car. He is interested in a 4 bearth Bailey with the end wash room, he can't remember the model name or number. Any views on the suitability of the Bora as a tow car?
 
I have not towed with a bora but i have passat. The bailey caravan i had was a bailey ranger 470/4 2004 and that has a end wash room it was a good van.
 
Colin if your friend logs onto www.whattowcar.com and enter his car and carvan details it will tell you if it is a good match. We tow with a VW Touran 1.9tdi and a bailey ranger 550 6 berth and it's fine.
