Our Yaris averages about 70mpg, but that is only locally so a mixture of rural and urban. Its range is about 500 miles. Lexus averages about 38mpg which is a range of about 500 miles, but no idea of range when towing. Jeep did about 30mpg solo had about the same range, but a bigger tank. Towing dropped down to about 22mpg. However with cost of diesel cost a lot more to fill up. Quite happy with hybrids.

Yes it’s a good price. CMC seem to be majoring on EVs and PHEVS with some pretty reasonable pre owned makes. Teslas and Polestars appearing on the forecourt quite frequently.
Have you got that right as 8 years seems a short time for the battery? Admittedly ours is a hybrid, but battery warranty is 15 years and I think it may be the same for the EVs in the brand.
Most EV batteries from new seem to have an 8 year warranty coming into effect if it’s capacity drops below 70%, but some makes enable it to be extended via annual main dealer or authorised repair center servicing.
With ours after the initially 10 year warranty, apparently you can have the car serviced anywhere, but battery check needs to be done annually at a Toyota dealership.
Yes, same as mine, but like Lexus the cars as new warranty is only 3 years, 60k miles. The 10 year serviced warranty actually goes to its eleventh year if its dealer serviced just before its 10 th birthday. Likewise mileage can go to 110k if it’s serviced just before 100k.

I think that Toyota are the only brand offering a 10 year warranty on cars and 15 years on battery? Unlikely we will still have the Lexus in 15 years time, but Yaris will probably be a keeper. Our last Toyota was 28 years old when we sold it for £200 less than what we paid for it 15 years ago.
Toyota / Lexus have always offered lengthy warranties . Strangely I don’t know anyone who has called on it. Maybe that’s a very good thing!

A cunning ploy to keep your money flowing in. But it gives peace of mind too. 👍

Yes it’s very flexible. Mine was ordered before June 2021 but delivered late Autumn so I think it should have 5 year warranty. But it was serviced last September by Sytner Select and they confirmed they did it iaw Toyota schedule for third year which was a light service. But in effect it’s dropped out of Toyota main warranty. But Sytner provided a comprehensive cover for breakdown, recovery and mot. The breakdown cover looks after pretty well everything. Nevertheless I’m having it serviced by Toyota next month which will then bring it back into their additional Warranty cover, assuming they don’t find anything. But if they do either Sytner fix it or arrange for Toyota to do so. With me paying any price difference. Bit potentially messy although I got a very good deal, but once it’s under Toyota Additional Warranty I can relax and just let Sytner Breakdown run until it expires next March. Hopefully the Recovery and MoT cover will not be required.
As suggested previously, consider the Toyota service plan which locks in the cost of the service for 2 or 3 years. The cost includes breakdown cover and MOT tests. I think it is about £38 per month for your car.

Wow, I’d sacrifice range just for the power and acceleration. If it were approved for towing, which I doubt, it would yank the Aframe away from the caravan. 😂
I can't see an upper limit on the warranty in the Ts and Cs. It is limited to the value of the car, and in theory to 6 claims a year or a total of £2,500 per claim year.
Original price was about £55k. While the children are considering it, its also still a significant outlay for them, and comes with a hefty insurance cost (they are 23 and 20 respectively, and this is a 400hp car). I am not sure either will decide its quite right, though I know they both absolutely want it.
