Bob, I've no personal experience with the Volvo s80, but one of our members has been using one this season, towing a Royale at about 1400kgs, and he's very happy with it.

A T6 ??? Plenty of torque, and you'll be getting a Christmas hamper from your local tyre fitters - front tyre life is not good and you'll need to fit the correct speed rated tyres.
