Hello David,

Recently there has been a few threads about the V70.

I have towed my caravan which is a Bailey Senator Twin Axle MIRO 1348KG with a petrol 2.4 & now with a Diesel D5 AWD & the D5 is far superior. The torque & the consumption far outways the petrol. It will sit all day at 60MPH with cruise control in top gear with no effort at all. I would go for the diesel all the time. Regarding last thread about rear suspension like any estate car you will get a bit of a sag especially when fully loaded who doesn't but as long as you load your caravan properly you will have no problems. After all Practical Caravan rate the Volvo XC70 D5 which is the same engine transmission etc as a superb tow car.

Go for the disesel you wont be dissapointed.

See You

David
