VW Touran 1.9TDI towing a Pageant S7 Limousin

I really like the look of the new series 7 Limousin (prefer senator wyoming but too heavy and too expensive). When i have looked at the weights the MTPLM is 1589kg, this would make it a 98% match for the Touran, with only 2 years towing experience is this a little to heavy or not. Can not afford to upgrade the car and van. Any advice greatly apprciated.
 
Before comparing the kerbweight of your car with the MTPLM of the caravan you should first always check what the towload limit is that the manufacturer specifies for the car. I think you'll find that the Touran 1.9TDI has a 1500kg limit.
 
Lutz is right, you can tow a max of 1500kg as I've got a Touran 1.9TDi too. The kerbweight is round about 1650kg depending on spec (mine's a S model) so my Coachman Amara 530/4 is a 91% match. The car tows it fine but I wouldn't want to go any heavier even if I could.
