'wallpaper' peeled off

Near the door in on my van I had a stick on hook for keys, which my husband hung his wet coat on, of course it fell off peeling the wallpaper/ fablon stuff with it and tearing a hole, it is a medium wood effect.

Does anyone know where I can get something to patch it up, my Mum suggested sticky back plastic - a la Blue Peter.

When that happened to us, we put back as much of the original wallpaper and then covered the remaining "hole" with a larger stick on hook. Also made sure that nothing heavy was placed on it again.
