My brother has just returned from a site that is listed in the Caravan and Camping book called **************************************
The toilets are lethal they are wooden huts with electric cables travelling along the ceiling through to the showers and out the other side. The doors are locked by a piece of wood and a bent nail. These toilets are not very clean and have obviously been there a long time.
I must say that the view from this site is beautiful and that is the only good word I have to say about it.
When he arrived he asked the price to stay per night and was told not to worry go and enjoy your stay. Like a fool he did until it came to pay.
He was charged £20 for the caravan which we assume was for two adults. (this you may think is not too bad a price but we have been to superb sites that cost at lot less than that with the BCC). He thought OK £40 and thought to himself I m not coming back here ,and then was charged £7.50 for each child another £15, so his 2 night stay cost in total £70.00. He was gobsmacked and asked for a discount because the site was advertising themselves as listed with the Caravan and Camping Club to be told that price was inclusive of discount. My sister who was also there that same weekend paid the same and they are not members of the Friendly Club. So where was this discount? Well in a few choice words he told him where to put his site and that he would never set foot on it again. He also wrote to the caravan and camping club expressing his views and asked for the site to be taken out of the Big Book.
