Wash room window Bailey Pageant S7 Champagne

The clear wash room window fitted to the Bailey Pageant Champagne is situated right behind the lavatory. As I for one will never remember to open and close the blind every time I use it, decency dictates the blind remains closed all the time. No problem in itself until the window is opened to ventilate the wash room. As the blind is always pulled after the window has been opened it's all too easy to forget the window is open behind the blind. Although we haven't had the van long, on several occasions we have managed to leave the van with the window open.

Does anyone know if a replacement "frosted" window is available and if so from where, or alternatively, a way of "frosting" the window to avoid having to use the blind all the time, which would of course brighten up the wash room considerably during the day time.

Hi Robert!

You have a problem I hope to encounter.

We have a 2005 Bailey Discovery 200 - with a opaque window to the rear washroom. We are looking to replace this with a Ranger GT60 510/4 the same layout, but a clear washroom window. The explanation from the salesman we talked to was that you can leave the washroom door open and if your car or rather 4x4 is the right height you can see through the van. This is clearly rubbish as Bailey do not provide a means of securing the door open during transit. When we purchase the Ranger I'm hoping to persuade the vendor to swap windows with the Discovery.

If you want a frosted window go to caravanning links website www.caravanninglinks.co.uk and try the section on breakers. You may be able to get one at one of the many breakers listed.

Good luck.

You can buy self adhesive frosted film from most DIY stores and stick it to the inside of the window.

Thanks folks, Frosted Window Film on its way. I also found what looks like an excellent bespoke replacement window service through www.caravanninglinks.co.uk should I ever need need one and I have needed one before.

It's a pity Bailey don't just fit a frosted window in the wash room. They either don't use their own caravans in which case they don't understand the problem, or they do and they just don't care to resolve it.
