waste water pipes

Hy son has just bought a new Lunar Quasar and as he will be using the van in the winter we had a look at the waste water pipes and as they had uphill bits in them they would have to be changed, the problem now is where to buy fittings for the grey ridgid pipes, our nearest dealer does not stock them. I hope someone can help. Allan

allan when you say they uphill bits in them what exactly did you mean? i use normal waste pipes and even in the winter they do no freeze as there is no or minimal water in them

I may be wrong but I think you will find that you can get the same pipe sizes & fittings from your local diy center, certanly worth a try.

Thanks for getting back, first, the flexi pipes come from inside the van and up over the chasis so there is always going to be water in that bit, so as sometimes happens in the north of Scotland the temp. can fall well below freezing that bit then freezes, thats why we want to replace all the pipes under the van and change their route. Allan

Just bear in mind though that there's yet another STUPID and pointless Postal Strike at the moment, which means that you'd need to ask them to send your stuff by another parcel service.

Hi Allan - I think you will find that the pipes are those used normal domestic waste, and are probably solvent welded. Go to plumbers merchant (or B&Q) and compare them

We use 1 x elbow joint and two T joints for our three outlets and connected them with some short pieces of the grfrey waste pipe. Works a treat. Some plonker is selling them as a combination for about

Yes we bought the parts at our local plumbers merchant cost 1.35 inc VAT. no need to spend a lot of money, but why do we need three outlets and if so it would be better spaced a little furhter apart. Manufactureres takr note
