Anyone tried Elsan's Tank Clean? allegedly de-scales as well as eliminating algae and bacteria from fresh water systems.

In the past I have always used either Milton or Puriclean but neither of these de-scales the tanks or pipework. I'm sure I've read gary of arc systems posts of water heater problems caused by the hot tank being clogged up with scale so thought I would give this stuff a go later on in the year. £7 for 1 litre so not excessively expensive. Just wondered if anyone else had tried this particular product.
Do you use anything else to descale your water system? I know a lot of people are similar to me in using Milton or Puriclean for sterilising but how many actually do use a de-scaler and how often?

Thanks
Rob

I have used a 50/50 mix of water & white vinigar left in overnight to descale the hot water tank as recommended by Truma, but the system stil needs purifying with puraclens (in preference to Milton as milton if left in to long can have detremental effect on the stainless water heater)
I have also used the Truma Aqua star system & this did really work if the state of the drained water is anything to go by
