water filling

I have been looking at a site I would like to go to and it has some photo's, one has a picture of the water barrel with the pump coming out of the top to the van, but also has a hose pipe going to the middle of the barrel.

Can anyone explain this and how it works ?

Hi Reg and Pat, think you will find its a service pitch, the pump works in the normal way and in the middle of the barrel connected to the hose is a float similar to your toilet cistern and the hose goes back to the main tap. Save you filling up manually.

Kits are available at around

some sites have super pitches where you can hook up to a pitch water supply and drain which means no going for fresh water or emptying the waste. some sites have a water tap to every pitch the hose pipe connects to a float valve inside the aquaroll which operates just like a ball valve in a cistern. these are available from aquaroll suppliers or a cheaper and just as good version is available from H2FLO on e bay
