WATER HEATER SWIFT CHARISMA 220 - 2003

Our water heats up but not enough, in fact it's only luke warm! Why? Also, the control for gas water heater, has a central knob scaled in deg's centigrade which we wind up and down, which we thinks makes some difference whilst on electricty, but our service engineer says that it only effects gas! Is he right? Probably!

Hi Tony

Yes he is correct the Ultrastore water heater switch only works the boiler on gas.

The Mains side is purely a heating element with built in thermostat takes the water temperature up to around 70 Degrees

Tony,

We have a Swift Charisma and always find the water heats better on gas rather than electric, much quicker and warmer.

As Gas Geek says the control only operates the temperature for the gas not the electric element.

Also the cover on the outside of the van needs to be removed when using the Ultrastore on gas otherwise it goes into fault. (I nearly always forget to take this off, but my 11 year old normally reminds me!)
