Hi,

I haven't any experience with these. Any advice please? Which is better, to buy the Water Hog Mains Adaptor Kit, or, the Truma Waterline. I'm a bit reluctant to buy the Truma incase of flooding my caravan but it's maybe safe enough!

Any advice would be really appreciated!

We had a mains adapter kit that came with our new Bailey Pageant magents in 1996 and it was hopeless

If you raised the shower above your head the water stopped

Things may be better now but they still have to reduce the site supply pressure to avoid damaging the water heater

I would go for the water hog adapter kit ot buy a spare cap and a torbeck valve from a DIY store and make your own

Hello,

I have tried both. The mains one leaked as the pressure was to great. Turning the tap down meant not enough water in the van, so spent a week with it leaking and the grass getting very wet. Then purchased the Water Hog mains fitting kit. It is made of cheap plastic and not very good either - the float never worked correctly meaning it Water Hog would over flow. So I kept the key parts - the hose and fittings and made my own using parts from a well known DIY store and an old lemonade bottle. Fab!

Thankyou very much for your advice. I'm not the best at DIY so I've purchased the Hog Adaptor Kit.

Many thanks.

Hello David,

Just like it - I've gone and purchased the Hog Fitting Kit. Not to worry, I'm not the best at DIY but I'll keep your advice in mind. The joys of caravanning!!

Many thanks for your advice!

Do you mean the mains adapter or the cistern-type arrangement for the aqua-roll?

Big difference....

I wouldn't entertain mains pressure hook-up to my van.....

Too precious...

Have a look at http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160301736122

This is a lot cheaper than the official Waterhog thing, but you will need to buy some food-quality hose too.
