Hi we bought an elddis tourer last June before they delivered it they said they wanted to reseal it . when we went for first visit last weekend we found damp patches in bedroom around the skylight. If they have resealed it would you expect the skylights to be resealed as well ? Need to get in touch with dealer as its covered under warranty but fear they are going to want paying for transporting it to their workshop which is 100 miles away and we do not have suitable car as its sited permanently. Any thoughts?

Was this a new or used caravan? If used....
Talk to the dealer, explain the situation, and ask if they are happy to reimburse you for an AWS engineer ( of tgeir choice) to attend and sort the issue out.
The worse that can happen is they so no, and they might just say ues!

Its a ten year old van . Spoke to dealer and they are saying that its covered under warranty but i have to get the van to their depot which will incur a cost they are going to get back to me later to try and work something out. My argument will be it was only resealed ten months ago so they should pay for the transportation. Either it has not been done properly or it has been missed . Or are skylights not included when resealing.

At 10 years old I reckon you were VERY fortunate to get a 12 month warranty. I would suggest you get a local AWS engineer to have a look at the skylight and quote you for the reseal. It might work out cheaper than the round trip to your dealer especially as you don't have a suitable towcar.
On that subject, how did you get it to site initially?

Do you know someone who could tow it for you to the dealer then they might return it to you with the work done under warranty good luck

When my father gave up driving we had his car delivered door to door through a company called Shiply. Like a Dutch auction you list your requirement and drivers bid downwards in price. In our case it came on a low loader but presumably your caravan could be towed. I have no other connection with them so this is my personal experience and not advertising!
As already recommended you can google AWS technicians and see if any locally will give you a quote for camparison.
