Water Leak when tap is on.

Hi,

We have a Sterling Eccles Elite Trekker 2005.

We have noticed that when we have the kitchen tap running there is water running down the pipe leading up to the tap in the bathroom.
This seems to then leak down the outside of the waste pipe and on to the toilet floor and also outside of the caravan.

Has anyone had this issue or can offer any advice?

It's going back to the dealer that we bought it from to be looked at but we may be using it before then so would like to try to sort if we can.

Thanks

Mike

I'm sorry Mike but the answer is obvious.

I don't have a magic wand.

You will need to expose the pipes and fittings to discover where the leak is coming from, then depending on what you find, make the adjustments or obtain any parts necessary to put it right.

Thanks for the response.
I was more looking for a steer to see if someone had had this issue or if was a known fault.

That way when I come to have a look myself I can be prepped as opposed to looking at all potential issues.

This does not appear to be a regular problem, although it has cropped up on Eldiss models, which use push fittings and they have simply not been pushed home. It sounds like a one off badly fitted joint.

Mike if you dont get the answer you are looking for I suggest you join Swift Talk where you will find only Swift owners posting. There is a wealth of knowledge on here but sadly we dont have all the answers as some times the problem needs to be seen . I hope Parksy doesnt mind this suggestion .If Im out of order remove it .
Sir Roger .

Basin taps in the bathroom are not usually boxed in, so on your knees and a torch should reveal the source of this leak
