Water pipes

I have had a leak on the the push fit joints between the plastic pipes to the copper pipes of the mixer taps, I have managed to get the plastic pipes separated but try as much I can, I just can't get the push fit joint off the copper pipes. The van is a 1995 Abbey Cachet, any advice greatly received

Some can stick and need the release ring pushing in squarely. An open ended spanner over the pipe can do this. Also, some makes have a collar which has to be released before the release ring can be moved.

Thank you John, I will try the open ended spanner today when I go to storage yard.

I haven't been up to my van yet to try the spanner trick but the above 2 pics is looking up the connectors with the copper pipe just visable. Can the connectors be sawn off?
