Water pressure problem

I have a 2010 coachman with a fitted truma water system .on my last outing the water pressure dropped to little more than a trickle.I eventullydiscounted pump and pressure switch faults, but discovered if I removed the charcoal filter the pressure returned with a vengeance

Has anyone come across this before and will simply replacing the filter do the trick

We change our inline filter annually. I'm surprised yours has blocked so soon but perhaps it has done a good job.

Are you sure none of the pipes to or from the filter were kinked or blocked etc. I'd fit a new filter and see how it goes.
