Water pump not working after used throughout winte

We live in our caravan and have used the whale submersible pump throughout the whole of winter. During the winter the water froze so we turned off the pump via the main switch inside. A week after the ice thawed I turned on the pump, the green light shows there is no problem with it but there is no water flow or sound from the pump. I've taken the submersible pump off and there are no blockages in the whales pipes.

Any help or ideas on 2hat is wrong with it would be great. Thanks.
 
Hi

It is possible the water pump has been damaged during the freezing conditions. I suggest you replace it and possibly carry a spare.
 
It could be that the splindle drive to the impeller from the motor may have stripped. So the motor can be heard running but the imppeler is not rotating. New pump advised.
