Hi All,

Has anyone used the Revolutionary pressure switch, advertised in the Caravan Club Mag June 2008 page 145.

Would like to know if it is a universal fitting and if it is living up to claims.

My pressure switch looks like it may have cracked as I am unable to stop water flowing into the bed box, even when I tighten the hose clips fully.

Thanks in advance,

Pop.

Yes I have fitted several replacement pressure switches with this one and it is far superior to the Whale switch.

It does what it says, fully automatic, no more adjusting to compensate for voltage and the push fit connections do away with the jubilee clip problems

Thanks for the prompt reply Damien. I will give it a try as I have just checked the pressure switch and there is still a leak from the hose clip area.

Don't soppose there are any local suppliers, so will email the company and see if I can get one in a hurry?

Thanks again,

Pop.

Hi Damian.

I've just found the ad to which Pop is referring.

As you have experience of these, could you say if one would be suitable for our van; a 2007 Coachman Laser.

It's currently fitted with a Trauma surge damper with built-in pressure switch.

The dealer has just replaced the unit as the original burned out two pumps.

Thanks, Dave

Dave,

I have not had to remove a surge damper completely yet,,,,,time will tell!!

However, unless the surge damper is a major part of the system, I do not see why it will not work.

I would email the company as they are carrying out testing all the time on different systems.

Is there a web site address for this pressure switch. I find it annoying that when you switch from mains to 12v battery you need to adjust the switch every time.

Hi Ian,

There does not appear to be a web site for the pressure switch unfortunatley. I have sent the company an email asking for local supplier/s be not had an answer yet, sent on the 9th June, now the 12th so think I will give them a bell to see what the situation is? Will get back asap,

Pop.

Hi Folks,

Just to let you know that there is no web site, or local supplier for the pressure switch. Telephone Terry on 0121 354 5552 or email: tc@msc.tc for further details.

Switch comes complete with fitting instructions, and are in Stock as of today when I rang.

This sounds like a good idea - I've emailed to get more info. Does anyone know if it's easy to fit (eg. would I be able to do it myself)?

I'm not in the Caravan Club - would it be possible for someone to scan me the feature over please? (or is that breach of copyright - I'm not sure, it's not photocopying is it?)

Hi Folks,

My pressure switch arrived Saturday morning (ordered Thursday afternoon).

I have not fitted it yet but hope to start Monday morning. Looks simple enough to install and full instructions included with kit.

Will keep you informed on progress.

Hi All,

As promised, I am updating on the fitting of the Pressure switch. Before you start it would be a good idea to check the bore of your pressure switch pipe work. Should be 12mm or 15mm mine was 15mm and the unit comes as standard with 12mm fittings. If you state the size on ordering you will have no problems. Easy to fit and runs so quite it is diffucult to hear it running when the seats are down.

What I like about it is the facility to cut out the pump when the water runs out.

Hope this helps,

Pop.
