Water pump question

Whale water pump 12v Submersible.

Can I assume water should not flow back into the aquaroll.

I asked I as checking my hot water was working (it is) but when I came to empty the aquaroll, the water was quite warm. So is my water pump knackered?

No the pump is fine if it is spinning when power is applied. What may be wrong is that your non return valve is not working.

Found the return valve, it had crud on it, so it stopped it from working, checking now to make sure cold water stays cold
