It's a Whale pump, the type with the hose etc attached. It was working OK then I turned off battery and pump switches. Turned them both on an hour later and the pump was dead. (The lights still worked fine)

I connected the pump direct to the battery and (unfortunately, in a way) it worked OK.

I'm stumped for what to do next. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be, please ?

Thanks, Wes

Check for a supply were you push the pump in, clean contacts if required or prise out if not making a conection.

Also check the fuse for the pump.

Thanks, Ray. I'll try your suggestions.

I guess all vans are different but do you have any idea of where the fuses are likely to be located e.g. near the rcb unit or the switch panel?

probably in a separate location from your 240v circuit breakers

possibly under the front seats or just about anywhere else. If you have access to a volt meter you could test for voltage at the pump socket when the taps are turned on
