Water stains on furnishings

Hi all,

I went to collect my van from storage and found that the sunroof had been leaking and running onto the front cushion and then soaking through to the rest of the seat cushions on the lefthand side. This has left some significant water staining on all those cushions. Does anyone have any tips, tricks to bring it back to somewhere near good again.
I have tried steam cleaning and the Bissel carpet cleaner (upholstery tool) with no real success. Link below shows images of the damage .

It might be worth seeking advice from a company, who specialise in clearing up after a flood, such as "Service Master" (if they still exist) who will have experience in such matters.
Other than that I would think it's a new seat cover time!

I used a Karcher puzzi cleaner on mine. I just had to trial and error which chemical lifter to use. sorry can't remember which worked best (I think it was Pro clean) but when I found the one it lifted the stains instantly.
What I am saying is don't give up, there will be a chemical lifter that works perfectly for you.
Forget steaming and Bissel is a bit rubbish as well.
A good quality cleaner and a strong chemical lifter and they should come up good as new

We have a Rug Doctor spot cleaner and it is very good for limited areas and furnishings. May be someone you know who might have one. Alternatively try hiring a Karcher or equivalent machine.

You really need to remove the covers from the sponge cushions. The sponge will also need cleaning .
Does your handbook offer any cleaning advice?

Wet or dry cleaning? Check with a good dry cleaner
Maybe text wash the smaller pice in yiur own washing machine on a warm, not hot long cycle with a decent bio solution or powder.

Is it worth claiming on your insurance. Replacement cushions are expensive. Someone like Regal Furnishings would give you a quote.

I have Service Master coming out today, they are going to try and remove the water stains. If that doesn't work I might look at the insurance angle. Thanks you for replying.
