Water Woes Get Worse

Following on from my previous posts with water issues this is the situation I am currently in.

I have put water in my on board tank and when I turned on bathroom tap water was coming out of the tap but also out of the top of the tap too so I think I have a faulty tap now. Have removed sink and got the tap off eventually.

But what I have also discobvered is when I turn on the kitchen tap it also causes the bathroom tap to flow. This even occured with the bathroom tap removed and with the microswitch not being in circuit.

The van currently inclines towards the back and the bathroom but I dont think that would cause the problems I am having would it ?

Dont know how these systems work is it that when you turn on any tap the others attempt to flow but as they are switched off no water actually flows hence I have a faulty tap or is there another issue.

Almost at my wits end now suffice to say any help gratefully received.

Many Thanks

Colin

lol think about it,if you take a tap off at home it will gush with water, its the closed tap that stops the water.....same as a caravan, only pressure is activated when a tap is opened,if you open the kitchen tap water will flow to that tap and all the taps in the van.

Hello colin.

It does sound like you may need a new tap, could it be frost damage, if it leaks at the top it does not look good. As for your other puzzle. If you open any tap it operates the microswitch that starts the pump which pressurises the whole system, that is pressure to ALL the taps ,any tap that is closed won't pass water, so any tap or pipe that is not connected will pass water. Don't think taps are cheap but if you do need one ouch! If you are like us we just love our van and if it needs one it will get one. good luck.

All the makes of taps are around the same prices, so just replace with an identical one
