Waterfoot Caravan Park

Hi All,
Our family is going to be staying at Waterfoot caravan park at Ullswater Cumbria come july and I'm looking for tip's or potholes with the site, eateries and nearby attractions. Many Thanks for replies in advance Jonathan

Don't know about potholes but if you want good food Cocklakes Farm Shop on the A66 just East of Troutbeck is good for both supplies and eating in although they are shut in an evening.

Stayed there last May whitsun week. Excellent site, well maintained and friendly staff. There is a bar on site which is up a steep hill with wonderful views from the pub gardens over the lake. The walk into Pooley Bridge is all off-road and Pooley Bridge itself is a beautiful place with nice pubs. We had brilliant weather which was helpful of course, if you like walking or mountain biking, it is a fantastic base to explore from.
