Hi this campsite looks really nice and I wondered if anyone has any feedback on it please? Is it easy to get to with a large caravan? Appreciate your views. Thanks Mandy

We went there about 3 years ago for a winter weekend. There were no problems with a 5.5m van and a Honda CRV. I can't rememeber there being any reason to complain about anything though the owner was nervous about any part of the vehicle getting onto the grass whilst reversing it onto the shale pitched, more like pebbles and would be really hard to push back by hand. It is a bit remote from anywhere but to some people that would be the beauty of it. If you want to walk from the site to the [good] local pub then wear hi viz and take a torch. It's not far but the road has no pavements. The toilet block was porta cabin type built inside a barn type structure.

hope this helps.

Hi Mandy,

We went to Waterrow for our first ever caravan outing nearly a year ago.

The warden was friendly and helpful and helped us back our 7m 'van onto the pacious pitch.

There was plenty of room on the pitch for the car and caravan, with water and waste points close by.

The facilities were absolutely immaculate and, as Ray said, comprise of a series of portakabins housed inside a barn.

As well as the toilets and shower blocks, there is a small library (well - a bookcase!), as well as local information, laundry facilities, freezer and washing-up sinks.

There are footpaths from the site and, again as Ray pointed out, there's a well-regarded pub down the road (we didn't go) but the site itself is a bit remote from everywhere.

But, if you have a caravan with you you'll have a car with you!

Really, it was very nice.
