hi weve just been here for bank hols and id like to say it was one of the nicest weve been to so quiet peacefull but still with kids playing friendly and the area is great with york/whitby and yorkshire dales it was brilliant we went up to dalby forrest which costs £5 but you can stay all day take bbqs and ball games and plenty of playground and forrest walks.
we also went to a strange village called staithes i think ive spelt it right all the houses are so close together and in the harbour they do really good fish and chips we are considering going back next year
