Just to let you know we are due to go away on Sunday for a week in Derbyshire. Batten everything down, as we invariably get dreadful weather!!! You have been warned!!!

Oh my god Ann, we are going to Derbyshire too on Sunday. Where are you going?

Are you the same Ann that was going to Freshwater East in Pembrokshire during June?

Hello Gill

Yes, I am the one. We never did get to FE in the end. Decided it was a little bit too far to travel. Did you make it? If so, I hope you had a good time and the weather was kind to you.

We are planning a trip to Chatsworth. Everything packed. Wellies, waterproofs, etc. One set in the car (for arrival) and one set in van. "Be prepared" is my motto!!!

I am somewaht fed up over the last couple of years of holidaying as we have our own personal black cloud following us where ever we go!!! Never mind, I guess I am not the only one.

Have a great time in Derbyshire. It really is a lovely area.

Hello everyone!!!

We have returned from our Sunday-Friday visit to Chatsworth Park. Lovely site and the weather WAS JUST GREAT!!!! I can't believe, after 18 months of vanning we seem to have finally rid ourselves of the dreaded black cloud overhead. It did rain, but an occasional warm drizzle is all we had. Thank goodness!

Hope it lasts we are heading for North Yorkshire 2 weeks yesterday. Can it last, I ask myself?

Hi Ann

Sorry late in replying but only just picked up your message. We also went to Chatsworth from the 13th-18th July - we were parked up very close to the dog walk and doorway out onto the Chatsworth estate ( bright blue pick-up). Agree its a lovely site and the weather wasn't too bad although we did have rain later in the week. Moved onto Grin Low, Buxton on the Friday
