Ring the sites direct rather than go through the website. We have been away for the last four weekends and three of these have been CC sites with empty spaces, despite the website saying they were full.
None showers are the bane of everybody's life (especially the warden's at sites) but there are occasions when any of us may have to cancel at short notice for whatever reason so a call to a site may be worthwhile to see if they have any availability.
I know it is isn't easy if you work and doesn't allow much for forward planning but nothing ventured nothing gained.
Further to my comments yesterday, I have just managed to book Saturday to Friday 28th May to 3rd June, which includes the Whit Bank Holiday, at the CC Scarborough site, so they are not all full.
When we tried to book for the Whit bank holiday all the cc & c&cc sites we tried for had availability for Fri,Sat, Mon nights, but were all full for the Sunday night!!!!
just stoped my cc membership afteer years of paying membership and not geting on sites i wanted should not have to change my arangments every time i try to book its not a one off and prices are climbung all the while.
Had to cancel this weeks holiday at CC Penrhos on Anglesey due to familey problems, booked for the 21st of May instead online said it was fully booked for the bank holiday weekend, rang the site hey presto got booked in until the Monday. I always ring the site just to check that the online booking system is upto date.
