Can any ladies out there please recommend wellington boots! I often find it really difficult to get boots to fit me because of my calf size, I am therefore finding it difficult to find a decent pair of wellington boots that will fit me, help will be much appreciated. Thanks

Some areas in catering and medicine use wellingtons for hygeine reasons - maybe that would be a source. They tend to be white though. P.S. Hope you don't mind me reading postings addressed to ladies . . . .

Hi Lindsay I have a pair of wellingtons that are like ankle boot style they are totally waterproof and have a zip in the side for ease of getting on, once on they only come up to your ankle so no deep water!! They are great for when we go camping ideal for walking the dog early mornings and also good if your pitch is getting muddy from to much rain. You can get them in green or navy blue I got them at my local agricultural show last year brilliant idea. You can no doubt find them on the internet. Hope this of some help. Regards Mandy

Hi Lindsay. Like Mike E, I hope you do not mind this reply from a man! In my opinion these (http://www.wellie-boots.com/bullseye-full-knee-farming-boots.htm) are the only boots any self-respecting farmer would ever wear. Unless you really are a strange shape you would have no problems with calf size. If you are not at all fashion conscious, and are not worried about the price, these are the ones for you - and they will last 'forever.'

Enjoy your holidays,

Trevor M

The link is just a link to an online shop to give you an idea. If you are interested, I'd shop around for the best price.
