Yesterday as the pooch was in daycare we visited Westonbirt Arboreatum. The colours hadn’t really developed yet, but it was still very enjoyable. Anyone planning to visit will need to pre book with estimated arrival time. We arrived at 1015 and the main car park was full, so we parked up in an overflow car park where motorhomes and coaches park. But that was nearly full so the grass overflow on The Downs was being opened up. As well as the main restaurant and adjacent outdoor cafe, there were a number of other food wagons with seating near the main entrance visitor center. We’ve booked again for next Tuesday mit pooch.

Over recent years we, as a family, have been going for the Christmas lights, which also need pre-booking.

Yes the lights are very good, and give a nice run in to Christmas or New Year.

I must be getting mean in my old age - I checked the prices, £61 for a couple with parking and transaction fees, plus the fuel to get there and back.

None of which meet my recent dietary restrictions - I might as well stay at home and be miserable! 😉
