whale bathroom tap

my bathroom sink tap is leaking also the switch as stopped operating so i have decided to purchase a new tap. problem is how do i break the joints on the old one to remove it.it dosent appear to be a compression fitting i think perhaps some sort of push fit joint so do i simply pull it apart ? I have a swift challenger 530 SE 2000 model
thanks for any help

If it has the coloured braided tails (red and blue) theyare a push fit .
On the union they go into, there is a collar, push that down and pull the tail out, then just push the new tail in.
