whale diverter valve.

hello

can anyone tell me if they have fitted a whale diverter valve

for use in two water containers ?as to reduce the amount of trips fetching water. If so are they any good.

thanks rich.

No - but we use the filler tube as a syphon and it works fine.

Our filler tube has a detatchable tap fitment that we pull off and push into the filler neck alongside the tube, we then pop the filler cap onto this to give extra protection from aerial bombardment.

When syphoning lower the running end of the tube to make sure it is working before popping it inot the water container.

It also pays to start the syphon "backwards" i.e. from the container with the pump in into the container you are syphoning from - this is because it is easier and quicker to pop the running pipe into the neck without the pump in.
