Whale water fitting

Hi all does the whale water fitting clip into anything or just push in I'm asking this as I have just purchased a floe drain down kit tried to add pressure and I won't hold it just pops the connector off ??

Has your caravan got an onboard pump? also what PSI are you putting into system

Yes there is a on board pump I put in 7 psi

With an onboard pump which are usually a diaphram pump you need to pressurise the system after the pump not from the outside

I noticed a big black cylinder with a tyre valve fitted to it after the pump is this what you are referring to ?

It could be but not knowing what your caravan is or seeing the cylinder its impossible to say for definite, I made my own on our van

The whale square is a push fit, although to my recollection it is partly held in place by closing the external lid towards the top.

The lid when closed holds it in place, you can see a hook sort of thing at the top of the lid and you’ll see where it catches into the whale block

That’s the accumulator to damp fluctuations in pressure.
