I had to have a replacement watermaster after our 3rd trip away after the pump kept blowing the fuse - replaced under warranty but it did make me think about buying a spare just in case. Can you just buy the connector onto the van and run a cheap pump rather than buy a whole new watermaster assembly for 40- to 50 quid?

As an aside someone on site did say that maybe on the last trip someone had swapped their faulty pump for our new one!!

You've got the connection onto the van so you can buy a cheaper pump as a spare and re-wire if needed.

Its like having a spare tyre its good to know that its there but you rarely need to use it

you can buy just the pump itself but when you open up the switch block to fit the new pump you will fing that the wires are soldered on, so take a little soldering iron along with you

Yes its well worth having a spare pump in your spares box. Its easy to burn one out if you're away for the day and the system cuts in for any reason...

Make sure you get the right size though as there is a small and large version.
