Wharfdale CC Site???

Heading for this site on Sunday. Hope the weather holds.

Just had a look at the directions and on reading the CC site book you have to go through a Leisure Park!!! Has anyone any comments on this aspect?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Wharfdale CC is a very nice site, don`t be at all put off by the `leisure park` thing, as it is self contained and you can walk to the bar/restaurant if you wish, but don`t get the idea you`re next to a `haven` style site.

Thanks Angus.

That was exactly what I thought might happen. Since we love peace and quiet we were getting a bit nervous about what might be a cc site with a lot of noise.

No problem.

It is quiet and peaceful with lots of good walking if you`re into that.

I was trying to get in for a long weekend in a couple of weeks, but unless there is a cancellation it isn`t going to happen.

The site is more regimented in it`s layout than a lot of CC sites, but thats probably down to its popularity and the desire to get as many pitches as possible on site, but it doesn`t feel cramped.

If the weather is like this you really will have a great time.

Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks again Angus

We have a little dog so it is nice to hear that there are some pleasant walking places for her.

We spent a couple of weeks in Sandringham and she positively hated (with a passion) going into the woodland surrounding the site, no idea why. Mind you a was a bit spooky when the wind blew and the rain lashed down, along with the tops of confers, which badly needed attention!
