What bicycle would you take on tour?

What kind of bicycle do you find best to make the most of your freedom during motorhome tours?

Matt Lamy has been testing hybrid bikes for us – the kind of bikes you'd use mainly on tarmac but can also use on firm tracks. They have straight handlebars and you sit upright to use them, so they wouldn't suit serious road-racers. These bikes are just great for no-fuss rides to the pub, the beach, the shops, etc.

He's reviewed eight bikes in the April 2016 issue of Practical Motorhome, and you can read a selection of bike reviews online.

I have a hybrid and enjoy using a bike.
Frequently on the back of my van !
Got a good deal on a bike at "Go Outdoors" last year, a fair bit lighter than my old "M-Trax" though the latter served me well for 20 years including the C2C !
